Every year Las Brisas PTSA hosts a big fundraiser to raise money to support our school. This year, instead of hosting a Read-a-thon, we are asking our community to "Give A Hoot" for Las Brisas! Our Give A Hoot fundraiser is an easy donation fundraiser, hosted through the Givebacks website, which allows the PTSA to keep 100% of all donations! We hope that you will consider contributing to help us reach our goal of $20,000! See below to learn about how your donations will benefit Las Brisas and the incentives that students can earn.
We are also encouraging students, staff, and our community to join us in participating in random acts of kindness throughout our Give A Hoot fundraiser. This is not required! See below for more information.
How do donations from this fundraiser benefit Las Brisas?
Your donations will help the PTSA bring in necessary funding so we can continue to support:
Classroom Communication Supplies (i.e. purple folders, student planners)
Curriculum Enhancement (i.e. Raz Kids, Grand Canyon Readers)
Classroom Reimbursement Grants - all Las Brisas classes qualify for up to $300 annually for supply and PBL/STEAM reimbursements that benefit all students
Special Project Grants (e.g. Sensory Room, class subscriptions, class book sets)
Incentives for donating:
Registration - All Las Brisas students who register for Give A Hoot will receive a holographic Las Brisas Owl sticker
Class Reward - The class that raises the most money will win a silly string battle with Mrs. Kurasch and Dr. S!
If we raise $15,000 - Student Treat Day! All students will get to pick a treat from the PTSA treat cart!
If we reach our goal of $20,000 - Field Day Inflatable! PTSA will pay for an obstacle course inflatable during our Spring Field Day!
How to register for Give A Hoot:
Follow the fundraiser link above or text 'giveahoot4lasbrisas' to (919)626-3277
Select 'STUDENT REGISTRATION', then 'REGISTER'
Add to cart the 'Student Registration' item (registration is free)
Add any additional Las Brisas Students, then select 'Check out now'
Complete your registration! Please select your students homeroom class to count towards the class contest
IMPORTANT NOTE: After submitting your student registration, Givebacks will email you a registration confirmation. This email will provide the shareable fundraising page link and a link to customize the fundraising page. You will need to create a login to Givebacks on customize the page.
After completing registration families are encouraged to share student fundraising pages with family and friends, asking them to Give A Hoot for Las Brisas!
Give A Hoot for Las Brisas with Random Acts of Kindness
In addition to raising funds in support of Las Brisas, we are encouraging students to participate in random acts of kindness throughout our Give A Hoot fundraiser! This is not required to participate in the Give A Hoot fundraiser. Students who participate can submit their random acts of kindness for a "GIVE A HOOT FOR LAS BRISAS" bracelet and a chance to be featured on morning announcements!
Students can submit their random acts of kindness to the PTSA table in the Las Brisas Library from October 20 - November 8. There are no limits for student acts of kindness submissions.
