Answers to all your questions involving Las Brisas Elementary
Q: What is Las Brisas PTSA? A: Las Brisas PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is a volunteer led nonprofit that works in partnership with our school, Las Brisas Elementary, with a mission to enrich our school, staff, students, and community! As a membership based association, joining the PTSA empowers you to have a voice and stay in the know with no minimum volunteer requirements! Learn more about PTSA Membership here.
Q: What does DVUSD stand for? A: Deer Valley Unified School District! To learn more about our school district, including job opportunities, the district vision, and our elected governing board members, see the DVUSD website.
Q: Where do I find the school supply lists? A: The current school year supply lists can be found here.
Q: What do I do if I'm not receiving school notifications through text/email? A: After the school district made updates some families stopped receiving school communications. If you are not receiving the weekly text on Thursdays, or the monthly digital newsletter our Principal sends out, please reach out to the Las Brisas Registrar so your student(s) account can be updated.
Q: Does the school have a mobile app? A: The DVUSD has a mobile app, you can check this district page for instructions. Users of the mobile app have access to district news and press releases, school calendars, district alerts and notifications, school menus, EZ Lunch Pay, staff directory, school locator, DVUSD videos, high school sports and events, and more! To learn more about the mobile app, you can watch an instructional video here. Q: What is Peachjar? A: Our school district uses Peachjar to send valuable school, PTSA, and approved community resources to parents via email. These digital flyers contain information about events, programs, schedules, and important updates. You can view all active flyers by selecting "View all Flyers" near the bottom of the flyer emails. If you're not yet receiving digital flyers from Peachjar, you can go to peachjar.com and sign up as a parent. All active Peachjar flyers can also be found on the DVUSD mobile app.
Q: What is PowerSchool? A: Families and Teachers can access real time information either online or via a mobile app. Students can monitor their grades and assignments throughout the year. Parents can access student performance information, communicate with teachers, track daily attendance and assignments. Parents may also sign up for daily or weekly email alerts regarding grades and/or campus happenings. A username and password are required to access PowerSchool. Stop by the Las Brisas front office with a picture ID to pick up your login information, or email the school Secretary at heather.houston@dvusd.org.

Q: What Community Education is offered? A: Our district has a lot of great options! You can find information on Summer Camp, Preschool, and Before and After School Care at this resource. You can also find updated flyers on PeachJar.
Q: Where do I learn about bus routes? A: You can get your student's bus stop information by calling 602-467-5090, or see the transportation website here.
Q: How do I load money onto my students school lunch account? A: The school uses EZSchoolPay as an easy and convenient way to pay for school meals. You can access it on the website and on their app. The school district also has great online resources to view the breakfast and lunch menus, check it out here.
Q: Does Arizona have a School Tax Credit? A: Yes! The Arizona Tax Credit Program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows a tax credit of up to $200 for individuals and up to $400 for married couples, filing jointly, in support of extracurricular activities. Check here to make your tax credit donation.
