PTSA Classroom Grants

$300 Reimbursement Grant

 $300 Reimbursements Grants are intended for supplies and materials purchased for classroom educational purchases. This grant entitles the bearer to a maximum reimbursement of $300 per school year. Each teacher will also receive an additional $50 to be used towards supplies for STEAM Night. Must be a PTSA member to qualify. 

Covered expenses may include: classroom supplies, classroom books, STEAM/PBL materials, teaching materials, student incentives, classroom decor, etc.

Who qualifies for classroom grants?
Las Brisas Teachers that have paid PTSA staff membership dues for the current school year qualify for Classroom Grants.
What is required for reimbursement?
Receipts are required for reimbursement.

what are the rules?
Equipment and unused consumables purchased with PTSA Classroom Grants remain property of Las Brisas Elementary. 

Classroom Grants may not be used for teacher professional development, gift cards, tokens of appreciation toward classroom visitors or volunteers, or for any other purpose inconsistent with our organization's tax exemption under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
when can i submit for reimbursement?
Reimbursement forms can be submitted throughout the school year, as early as your first contracted day of the school year and no later than May 1st. 

Submitting Reimbursement 

Reimbursements for grants can be submitted through Money Minder using the link below. Pictures of original receipts or electronic receipts are required to process all grants.

PTSA Special Grant Requests 

Las Brisas PTSA is pleased to offer mini-grants to assist with funds for special projects, learning concepts, or equipment that support our overall mission. The mini-grant should be requested when no other school funds have been allocated to such a project. Once PTSA Board Members have reviewed the application, it will be brought to a board vote and applicants will be notified by email.

All Special Grants must meet the following criteria:
  • Educational program or equipment that will enhance the students learning for the majority of a grade level or school.
  • Applicant(s) must be a current PTSA member.
  • All requests must be approved by the Principal prior to submission. 
  • Fund request approvals are provided for the current school year only and will not be auto-renewed if future year funding is needed.
  • If the grant is approved, it is the grant requesters responsibility to retain all receipts or invoices related to the grant. Grant requesters must ensure that vendor invoices and staff-paid receipts are turned into the PTSA for payment in a timely manner. If you already have an invoice or other helpful files for your application please upload in the form or email us at [email protected] after submitting your grant application.​

Teacher Special Grant Request

This special grant request is for Las Brisas teachers that are looking for assistance with funds to benefit students in a classroom, grade level, or school wide. Special Grants must meet the criteria as shared above. 

Specialist Special Grant Request

This special grant request is for Las Brisas staff that are not teachers and would be considered specialists. This includes therapists, counselors, psychologists, paraprofessionals, and other specialty fields. Specialist Grants are offered to assist with funds to benefit students and must meet the criteria as shared above.
